Covid-19 Shut Down Of The World :(

This is a time in history that has not happened in our lifetime - March 16th, 2020.

From Sixx's post to the BAHS Family...

"All of the Blues Against Hunger Society Chapter Jamborees and tours will be postponed for at least the next 30 days, including Mexico City, Yuma, Vista, El Cajon, San Felipe, and Rosarito. We have a responsibility to our supporters, and members. Additionally, we also have a responsibility to those we support.  For this reason, we will not be sad or scared, we will use this as an opportunity to prepare for the amazing things BAHS will do in the near future when this has passed."

I have to say that this is weird, but yes we will not be sad or scared, we will get through this together but apart. <3.

One Gold Coin at A Time!

All it takes is time. We have been saving Mexican 10 peso coins for a long time and last October we did a fundraiser for the fire victims. During the event we broke our only mixer. At the time we didn't have enough saved to buy the new mixer we needed. Fortunately, we were able to get a replacement part on eBay. On Monday the day came - we won a bid on eBay and this time we had just enough. We turned our not so valuable coin collection into a huge new asset to us and BAHS - A 18-channel digital audio mixer that we can use as a 18 channel multi-track recorder in the BAHS studio AND as an 18-channel mixer for live events...and we can record all the Jamborees and mix them down later! Too cool.

BLOW OUT ON 99!

BLOW OUT ON 99 - Well if it ain't one thing it's another...so today we woke alone in the desert after a truly silent night; at least after the last of the partiers left and at an American time of 10PM...We both laughed as the last vehicles drove away. Had we been at home in Baja, it may have gone on all night.

Today after driving 9 hours we had a blow out on the inside dually tire on Highway 99 in California. We have no internet, no US cellphone, and no GPS to tell us where anything is...it was so like the good ol' days, I mean like pre-pager days.

We got off the highway on a country road and the first two guys didn't speak English, but my Spanglish is very up on blown tire lingo..The second man asked us to follow him to a llantera (tire shop) and we did for several miles at a slow speed; unfortunately, he stopped at an intersection, pointed to the left, drove away to the right. On the left was a tire shop alright, but they were useless, and almost deliberately unhelpful even with my tire Spanglish. However, the Mexican truck driver outside pointed us to another shop on the other side of the highway that the first shop knew nothing about...I asked.

We are going to be joined by our friend Rex Gibson on guitar and Phillip Singletary on Saxophone and Dan Range on drums and many more...all are welcome!

The Last Day Of The Year

It is the last day of the year  - 2019; time to say thanks for the wonderful memories we've shared and a time to dream big, take action and live life to the fullest. Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery, so live in every moment, in every breath. Happy New Year to all. Sixx and Sweet
