Back in Loreto Again...

Back in Loreto again...

We have been here for about 5 day from La Paz where stayed for 7 day trying to get our generator serviced...finally we got the the parts and the parts replaced but we need a new carburetor. We decide to wait and get the new generator in Ensenada when we get home.

During our time in Las Barrriles BCS Mexico we saw the sights of Santiago, San Jose del Cabo, and Todos Santos. I will talk about those adventures later...So Back in Loreto and tomorrow on our way to Mulege for a few day of RR on the Beach and play in the water. The Bay of Conception is the first place in Mexico John and I vacationed together. We stayed in the same Palapa that John sister and her boyfriend stayed months before, but did not know until we saw her name carved into one of the post of the Palapa. Then last year we went to meet friend and camped on the beach and had some great dinner over the camp fire. We hope to do the something next week.

Feb. 20, 2010 - La Paz: It was a nice drive from Los Barriles to La Paz. I was driving the car and John driving the RV, we are in need of a car dolly. It was a relaxing drive for weather sunny with small puffy clouds adding to the all the beautiful country side. We should be in La Paz for about 4 days...

I Am Glad 2 B Moving

Feb 18, 2010 - Thursday
We are in Los Barriles BCS Mexico and leaving tomorrow for La Paz. Our time here has been okay...nice place, great clean beaches, windy, & sunny. This is the place all the wind and Kite surfers come to catch the best wind and waves (Small waves).

I am glad to be moving - just worried about money as I always do. This, that and they need to be paid and we nerve have the money all the time.Today John and I will be working to loose weight together Rachel = 145lb & John = 291 lb. We have to drop 75 lb btw the two of us. John will get a "special" treat for every 10 lb he looses. And will get the treat so long as he maintains his gold weight 230 lb. I will get some new clothes as the others will not fit any longer.

On the Road Again!

Heading North!
Tomorrow - Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, is the day we start our migration North. Heading north to be make it by the the 9th of March for the San Felipe 250. Our first stop will be La Paz for 4 days closing up some business and having a bit fun.Then to Loreto to show our new friends Gary & Patricia some sites. Continuing to Mulege for a full 6 days of relaxing on the beach. working our way to San Ignacio for 2 days at Rice and Beans; and just taking is slow to get to Ensenada then finally to San Felipe. Home with Friends and Family! We are ready and can not wait for the adventures that we will have getting there. On the Road Again!

Congrats Griffin!

My (Rachel's) nephew Griffin swam a 3A North Carolina State High School Championship on Friday Feb 1, 2010.

Griffin took a 6th in the 100 back, a 15th in 200 IM, and the two relays - 200 medley relay (2d) and 400 free relay (4th).He did so awesome.  He also had best ever times in his 2 indivdiual events.  And in the 100 back and his 2 relays they AGAIN broke their own school records.
Way to go Griffin!
